If you are not sure what to read, I stumbled upon this great list on goodreads.

Top 100 Middle School Must-Reads

Being new to the MS library I am trying to figure out which books students should read or books I could recommend to my students. I am always finding myself on the goodreads website.

Top 100 Middle School Must-Read

The Warwick Middle School put really inspiring quotes on the steps near the library this year. We were asked to come up with a quote for our space.  This is what we decided we would put above the library doors.
What do you think?

My Current Read
I just started reading this book.  I will get back to you with my opinion. =)

goodreads website describes the book this way-
Marcelo Sandoval hears music no one else can hear--part of the autism-like impairment no doctor has been able to identify--and he's always attended a special school where his differences have been protected. But the summer after his junior year, his father demands that Marcelo work in his law firm's mailroom in order to experience "the real world."

7th Grade Class
I was so happy to get to meet many of our 7th grade students during their MS library orientation. Some of the classes came to borrow a "Coming of Age Book" and some just came to check out an SSR book.  If you are not familiar with coming of age book, Common Sense Media defines it well:

"Few kids' books are as powerful as stories about characters coming of age. Whether they're learning hard truths about loss and prejudice or finding out what it really means to grow up and be independent, the kids in these books are the kind of memorable characters your own children are sure to relate to."

This week we will be exploring Mysteries during several of my scheduled class visits.

Thank You, Mrs. Frame for all your hard work and love of books!  The library would not run as smoothly without you.  😉
This week started off rainy but it was always sunny in the library.😊😊😊😊😊  Our first several days were wonderfully busy.  We had a steady stream of students and staff visiting the library.  I LOVE the MIDDLE SCHOOL!  We had 3 days of school and we developed a top 10 list.
